Cover Letter — English

Dear Hiring Team,

I am applying for a leadership role in Online Services because I bring a rare combination of hands-on network defence, incident leadership and player-centred operational thinking — all critical to keeping AAA multiplayer services alive and healthy.

For 15+ years I have managed ISP-grade networks and Anti-DDoS platforms, led on-call war rooms, and implemented monitoring and mitigation playbooks that minimized downtime under attack. I thrive in pressure environments: when incidents happen I coordinate triage, execute mitigation steps, and drive postmortems that reduce recurrence. I focus on outcomes players feel — reduced latency spikes, fewer disconnects, and continuous matchmaking availability.

I will partner with engineering and design to bake reliability into services from day one: designing resilient topology, automating detection & mitigation for gameplay-impacting signals, and mentoring ops teams to respond faster and with clearer prioritization. I understand the player perspective (see my Steam Workshop and YouTube), and I bring the technical discipline to protect both experience and reputation.

Thank you for considering my application. I am ready to discuss specific examples of mitigations and SRE processes I can bring to your team.

Sincerely,
Mikhail Prazdnikov
